Document Version Two

Above - rough sketch of movement in a space to help me get ideas for the refined second document.

Above - start of a 3D Kitchen model but decided to go with a section instead.

Why do I carry out the ritual of cleaning and organising?

Everything has to appear physically and visually clean and organised. It helps my mind stay calm knowing things are in there place and they are clean.  It stresses me to see mess and dirt just disgusts me.  Everything has its own place and it stays in its place.  I can't start doing any work until I know and can see my rooms clean and tidy with everything it its place.  I can't concentrate on my work until its organised.  Also I can't eat off any plates, bowls and cutlery or cook with any utensils until I know they are clean.  They may appear visually clean but I have to wash them before I used them so that I know they are clean.  It makes me feel gross and I can't eat my food off plates people have eaten off and not properly cleaned.  I also had to clean and tidy the whole flat kitchen when I first moved in on the Weekend.

How I carry out my ritual of cleaning and organising?

Before I eat everyday I have to wash everything (I'm going to eat with for that meal) with dishwashing liquid and with my 'clean' dishwashing brush and then dry them on my 'clean' tea towel because everyone else's is 'dirty.' Everything also has its place to go back to and thats where it stays because than it is organised.  Everything in my room has a place and it goes back to its place after being used, same with the rest of the flat.  I have to make sure weekly (or when required) the kitchen and bathrooms are cleaned and if no one in the flat is going to do it then I'll spend my time cleaning and tidying it until its done and clean. Then once I've done that I have to clean my hands throughly and have a shower plus put my clothes in the wash because now they have become dirty from me cleaning.

Above - Another document showing clean, organised placement as everything must be put in its place.

20 Wallace Street

Above - Floor plan of 20 Wallace Street with approximate measurements.

Low bearing walls - Walls which are holding up the roof, supporting it. These walls cannot be knocked down and go in the opposite direction the the roof beams. Walls running the same direction as the roof structure can be knocked down to create new spaces and room layouts.

Document Version One

Above - Just a quick sketch of my kitchen at home. Was initially considering going in the direction of using the ritual of eating breakfast or dessert. Why? because I only eat with a teaspoon not a tablespoon and I thought that this would then be a little strange/weird. I'm unsure of how to visually represent this ritual so I don't think I will go down this direction for my document ritual.

I have decided to go with the idea of the ritual of cleaning/tidying.  I'm quite a tidy organised person and being clean and tidy helps me concentrate and be organised. I need to reproduce a few more documents but this is definitely the ritual I'm going with. I now just need to think of the why I clean etc and this will help with my next documents and for the person designing my ritual space.
